Proof that Senator Barack Obama has no interest in running a civil campaign: at a fundraiser Friday in Jacksonville he slimed Republicans (audio) for things they haven’t done, saying he’s sure they’re going to do them, including using his race to scare people.  [More at Spolitics.com]

Obama’s pledge to accept public spending limitations wasn’t even as strong as his refusal to denounce Reverend Wright.  Indicative of a shallow man led astray by his new-found power, he dumped his old, faithful girlfriend for a hot young super model.  And as he kicked her to the curb, he didn’t even hold back to spare her feelings: “It’s not me,” he said.  “It’s you.”  [More at Spolitics.com]
